Candied LEDs

Design & Fabrication by Emily Daniels 2011This was a simple project incorporating electronics into traditional candy-making. After boiling sugar syrup the LEDs are left in the concoction until the sugars have crystallized around the dome of the LED. The crystals are pure sugar- if kept away from heat and excess humidity will stay fixed to the LED for at least a year or longer. Instructions on how to make it are here. |
